danish oil
I have just completed three bookcases (shelf type) and put on a coating of danish oil.
Would members agree it would now be OK to apply a wax polish over the top of the danish oil?woody U.K.

Yes, but leave it a day after the last coat and give it a gentle smoothe over with 1200 grit or 0000 steel wool. I use that finish on carved burls and wax it with Arbortech Clear microcrystaline wax and it is the best finish I have achieved with burls.
