Painting verandah ceiling
Hi there,
We have recently lined the ceiling of our "outdoor" room or verandah. We used Unispan Gyprock as it is out of the weather.
Can we use ceiling white paint for a finish or should we use a gloss acrylic. We live on the mid north coast and the climate is quite mild.
Many thanks
Pat

Use designated ceiling paint - it is made to ensure that ceilings look well finished even if they aren't, the matte finishe will disguise a lot
Make sure you use a purpose made wallboard sealer/primer/undercoat on the board first - very important
get some of the ceiling paint that goes on pink and dry's white - makes it easier to paint a number of coats
I had a number of ceilings in my place that where painted with gloss and you could see every little bump, patch and crack, two coats of ceiling white and everyone asked "did you re-plaster the ceilings as well?"
Even with a fine nap roller it can look greatPeople make mistakes...
That's why they put erasers on the end of pencils
