Glosswood
What do you guys think about these types of products for outdoor ceilings on verandahs?

I've never used it but it should be OK provided the stuff is straight. You'll pay a premium for pre-finished products, but think of the time & effort saved not having to fill & paint it all. You're relying on the glue really, so make sure you follow the gluing recommendations. What type of adhesive do they recommend? If they say to use general purpose construction adhesive (liquid nails etc) I'd consider using the Bostik ultraset or Finish Pro adhesives. Unlike construction adhesive which becomes very brittle after a while, the Bostik products (which are designed for use with strip flooring over sheet flooring & parquetry etc) retain a lot more flexibility. I recon this is a good thing, because timber likes to move, & under a verandah roof it will certainly be subjet to extremes of temperature & thus movement. Oh, & the Bostik sticks like &&&& to a blanket.

They dont really recommend an adhesive. Just a good quality one.
A friend of mine built a spa house with a roof made out of jarrah floorboards. Looks great.. However another guy said it would be too much weight on the verandah, so I was looking at alternatives.
