    Default Melbourne meet and greet Doug and Jules.

    Doug the slug and Jules are visiting Melbourne between the 23 and 28th of February. They have family commitments on both the Friday and Sunday and on the Saturday Jules is attending a course at Holmesglen Tafe until 5 – 5.30 but Doug is at a loose end that day.

    They are both keen to meet in person as many of their "online" friends as they can and so I propose holding a BBQ on Saturday afternoon/evening the 25th of February to which you’re all invited.

    It would be nice if various members could organize a tour of a few workshops for Doug during the day and finish up at my place and if someone coming past Holmesglen could pickup Jules as they are reliant on public transport or lifts.

    You’re all welcome from say 4 – 4.30 onwards, I propose firing up the barbie around 6.30. BYO your own meats and drinks and pm me for the address.

    Methinks you're going to need to keep a register of who's coming and who's doing what with and/or to whom :eek:

    Hey Mr Sturdee im at Holmsglen Tafe in 488 South Road,Moorabbin just so people wont get confuddled ... Thanks for organising something for Doug to do for the day ill be super busy and learning how they want flags put of flag poles for our medal presentaion team ... ( some one has to do this special job ) thank you for the offer to host this bbq as well ... its going to beaut to see everyone cheers jules

    I think so too. When I get more responses and closer to the date I'll organise a schedule and let everyone know.

    BTW my workshop will also be open for inspection.

    G'day,

    Sturdee, put me down on a list of a shed crawl as I know Doug and Jules want to have a meet and greet with Sarah. Maybe I could pick them up from a shed crawl close by and get them to the next shed crawl.

    It's outside but under cover in my newly renovated BBQ area.

    Put me down, Hopefully I wont get caught up with family comitments this time and actually turn up before everyone leaves.

    Hay this one is closer... No point in checking my shed, cant even get in there myself (Gotta clean up, and sort it out)

    I have a woodturning club visiting the workshop that day and helping turn a 750 KG log into a "doll". Doug is more than welcome to visit if some one can bring him down.

    I will put in a tentative Yes to the BBQ.
