Floorboard stain and polish quote
Was just hoping to get some opinions on what a reasonable quote is for staining and polishing my floorboards. We have 65sqm of boards that I want stained in a dark wlanut colour (by hand, not tinting) and polished in a satin finish and I've been quoted between $2500 and $3000.
Any advice on the above, or other general experiences with this would be great. Thanks!

should be around 25 bucks sand and polish
then add another 25 bucks for staining
also depends where you live
would try to get an Aussi to do it, as a lot of floor sanders are new Aust's and new to the game.

Floor sanders
Not quite sure if I agree with the "get an Aussie to do it"
The guy who did my floors was a Greek migrant - albeit 20 years ago!
The only thing people notice with my reno is the floors and how good they look
Thing is - this guy came to Australia with a trade - Parquetry!
I have yet to find an "Aussie" who has completed a 4 year apprenticeship solely in the laying, preparation and finishing of timber floors.
New Australians have the skills - it just takes a little more understanding...People make mistakes...
That's why they put erasers on the end of pencils
