    Lightbulb Posts

    G'day all

I am building an Arbor for the garden. Probably a stupid question but as this is my first time "fencing" please can someone let me know how to ensure that the posts are the same height?

To explain a bit better I am intending to fix the posts for the Arbor in concrete. How do I ensure that they end up level?????

    Cheers

    Frustrated.

    Thumbs up

Make the posts higher than you intend .... drop them into the hole with the cement ... or on those stirrup things .... level them up ... ie make sure they are perpendicular to the ground. Mark on one post the desired height .... fill some clear tube up with water .... line the water up with the first mark .... hold the tube up to the other posts ... where the water mark is will be the same level as the first mark. Hard to explain ... any decking book from the library will have diagrams.

    Stinky.

Just make sure there are no air bubbles in the hose and that nothing is pinching or squeezing the hose as this will affect accuracy.
