    Default Sea Cruises

Was wondering if anyone has ventured into a sea cruise that they found accommodating in all aspects?

Got one booked for this year as our 30th wedding anniversary is imminent:eek: ...crikey has it been that long ,however one has to do something for all the patient (WW) woodworking widow for years and so it's an Asian adventure thru Thailand /Vietnam watersthis year but am thinking of going on with the cruise thing and doing something for a special birthday for her next year, perhaps a Mediterranean cruise.

    Any Ideas would be appreciated.

    Cheers

I went on the Fairstar with 2 mates in 1977. Can't remember a thing. I was for 3 weeks.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Did the same thing on the way to Pommieville in the early 70's ,like you, can't remember much ...hehe but enjoyed the various talents ...er gifts offering!

Much ado was had thru the Cruise waters that need no further recriminations apart from the Oz folk keeping the ship dry inside.

Revelations had new meanings on that adventure.

I took the EX ( before she was the EX) on a 7 day cruise out of Singapore for our 17th wedding annaversary, sailed with STAR lines, and had a wonderful time, visited Thiland and Malaysia and a couple of islands there abouts as well.

Found star lins to be good in all respects

We were on "Leo" which several years later sailed into Sydney, at low tide and just managed to fit under the harbour bridge
I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

Ta for the link Brudda ,one that I'll have to check out.

Reason I started this thread is that it's competitive out there with cruises,a vast array of offerings and have't been on a cruise boat since the earlt 70's.

    Hi John!

Have you thought about Yacht Charter? It doesn't have to be a huge yacht, and it doesn't have to be just you and your partner.

Lots of options out there, and the locales that you mention have many possibilities.

    Cheers!

We did the superstar leo cruise a few years ago. A 3 days cruise from Hong kong, China, Vietnam and Hong kong. I really enjoyed it but the wife thinks it is just OK.

Asian cruises are all about food. Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper. Yum yum floating paradise.

Hi thanks for the suggestion but I don't think the missus will trust me at the helm of a yacht as I put it to her. She'd rather we were in more capable hands on the water and in something large so we're probably gonna re-visit old memories in the Mediterranean gleaned in our more youthful times.

    Cheers

Could'nt agree more Wongo, and we're gonna do the Vietnam/Thailand/singapore trip this year and looking forward to seeing new sights and folk.

Reckon it'll be the start of a new era for Er indoors ...not a fan of boats ..but I love 'em (been on a few cruises) and she's slowly coming around...get her on board and enjoying all that cruising has to offer and there will be no stopping her that's why this is a trial run for her birthday next year.

    Cheers
