Drawer slides Help
I am building a new kitchen for SWMBO and have decided to use drawers as a means of storage instead of cupboards. Does anyone know where in brisbane there is a good suppplier of drawer slides. i have been to Bunnings but they only have a very limited range.

Do a search for either Blum, Hettich, Mepla or Grass distributors in Brisbane. You will be able to buy over the counter. Problem is, you will need to know your carcase heights / depths and drawer front heights to work out what height drawer systems to use.
Drawers are the best idea to store all manner of kitchen items. You will easily gain an increase of over 30% storage space in your existing kitchen layout by going this way. Get drawer runners with a minimum 50kg capacity and while you're at it get some soft close options for those drawers.

Try Cornall Merchandise.
They have a full range of drawer slides and do sell small lots. I've bought some slides and catches from them in the past and found them very good to deal with.Have a nice day - Cheers

I don't know if Wilson and Bradley have an shop in Brisbane, but if they have I suggest a visit to them. They specialise in kitchen fittings.
They also have a gadget that helps in holding the drawer runners whilst screwing them in the sides of the cupboards.
When buying from them always check the price for a quantity as I've found that when I needed 60 D handles it was cheaper to buy 101 handles than 60. Still have some spares left.
Peter.

Another mob to try in Brisbane is Nover Pty Ltd (kitchen supplies to the trade and over the counter) They usually have displays set up so you can see how and if it is what you want. www.nover.com.au will get you started.

Nover only stock Hettich drawers. If you are looking for Blum drawers then try Parbury Building Products or Lincoln-Sentry.

I bought two pairs of Hettich draw runners, $51 for memory 450 deep and 60kg capacity.
They also overextend giving you better access to the drawer.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Try this mob, you can order on line if you wish. At the worst it will give you an idea of what is available.

Call Lincoln Sentry, they have a good range. Otherwise if you are after cheap ones, go to Rocklea Markets on a Sunday or Chandler Markets on a Sunday as well...
