    So am I.

Still have an old window open and the old skin is " --vBulletin 3 " and the new skin is " -- Woodwork Forums vBulletin 3Style ", maybe that is why it is different.

Don't particularly care for the new style. Bring back the old.

    vBulletin3 style is gone.

    It is no more.

    It can't be chosen.

    I want it back.

    Question Ya gotta be jokin'

Jeez...... Try and do something nice for you lot and what do you get? A bunch of whingers. I am trying to work on some new bits for the forums and doing it the hard way by keeping them on line, rather than closing the whole thing down for a day or so.

Please have a little patience children.

If you have a baby crap yellow screen then that's your problem. Fix your screen colours or get a better monitor. The true colour is closer to sand or wheat. (looking for something a bit more woody without being too busy or slowing the whole thing down to a crawl while it loads)

We do not now and have not (to my knowledge) in the past had a problem with animated avatars...... Sorry but again that's a problem at your end not ours. See Avatar to left.

Same with the smilies, you should always have been able to put them in anywhere. As for pics not uploading as thumbnails that will depend on where you are loading them from. A pic from a URL should show full size in the post like the big pic below with the baby crap yellow background. One that comes from your computer will show as a thumbnail. unless you stuff it up.

Got any more grumbles bring em on. Might not answer them but bring em on anyway.

Heres something that most members may not have noticed yet but you can now download ieSpell (spell checker) from your Reply or New Thread page - Top rh corner of message box. It is a free download without any nasties, and will work from your message box when you post. Been waiting for this one for years.

    Cheers - Neil

PS vBulletin3 (the crappy blue page that everyone complained about when we first changed to vBulletin years ago) is still there it has just had the default style removed from being attached to it.

    Thanks again Neil.
The spellcheck thingy sounds good but I can't see it on the rh top of the message box.

Perhaps I'm being thick but I just don't see it.

Me too. But editing a post wouldn't work an hour or so ago. I had to go to the advanced editing options before it would accept the changes. (I edit a LOT )

    But it works again now.

Fair call, and absolutely no offense, pressure, aggro, or anything else intended Neil. In fact it's your BB so I have to say you can do with it what you must!!

I obviously didn't make that point strongly enough!
Got any more grumbles bring em on. Might not answer them but bring em on anyway.
Since they were my "grumbles" you mostly outlined, I feel COMPELLED to comment . I have sent several emails to Steve when they were first apparent, but was curious to see if anyone else had the problem. Not stirring at all, just trying to see why?

We do not now and have not (to my knowledge) in the past had a problem with animated avatars...... Sorry but again that's a problem at your end not ours. See Avatar to left.
Well there's the thing you see. As most will attest, I have been known to use the odd animated avatar myself!

Now after the last BB upgrade, I keep getting the message attached below, and yes, it is generated from within VBulletin. I am at a loss to see how two computers in two different locations, neither of them reconfigured in any way could suddenly develop a problem at "this end" as a result of a reconfiguration of the BB software, but (and this is the only raw nerve in all of this: as a Mac user, I'm used to copping that sort of stuff!).

But I note from another thread, that I'm not the only one who has developed the problem at my end, so it's not confined just to Macs.

I don't think it's worth wasting hours over, and seem to have adapted to a non-animated avatar ok, but raised it because I thought you may want to know!! Sorry!!

Same with the smilies, you should always have been able to put them in anywhere.
Yep, I know that. But after the last upgrade, I could only "cut and paste" back into the body of the message. Same for any of the shortcut or "tool" buttons.

The problem my end has been fixed with whatever you've been doing over the last day or so!

As for pics not uploading as thumbnails that will depend on where you are loading them from.
Yes, but yesterday, if you check out the Australia Day pics thread, you'll find an entire page and a bit where all that just stopped happening, and the pic upload reverted to the way it was a few years ago, with just a link showing.

I am glad it's back... that's a REALLY nice feature.

vBulletin3 (the crappy blue page that everyone complained about when we first changed to vBulletin years ago) is still there it has just had the default style removed from being attached to it.
Please note that not EVERYONE complained! and NO it wasn't there this morning for many of us, but it's back now THANK YOU!

In short, despite the chip on my shoulder noted above, it's all still better than most BB's and you're right, we are a spoilt little bunch of kiddies, but we do love you to bits..... honest!

    Oh and Neil: THANKS HEAPS!!
    Cheers,

    P

Those that had 'em before the 'change' have still got 'em - see Zed's and Neil's. But the forum wont let you upload them any more. I tried 3 or 4 weeks ago and got the same message as Midge.
