Are you receiving delayed telecasts there in the States? Well I don't want to spoil it for you, but St George / Illawarra were knocked out by Wests Tigers one week before the Grand Final. Parramatta was knocked out by the Cowboys the same weekend (grumble grumble) and Wests went on to win the Premiership.

Gridiron, as football is called here, does not have a large following because:
No one is awake when the games are broadcast, and
They used to have a highlights show here that was hosted by the single most annoying American on the planet. This guy was here because he must have been kicked out of every two-bit TV station over there. I can't look at a decent game of football without hearing his grating voice in my mind's ear. (He made New Yorkers sound like Sir John Gielgud)
