Default What a bunch of Pansies!

Ten balls to go, a little light shower and the umpires decide that they have to stop. What's the Go?:confused: Can't cricketers handle a little bit of water while they are playing. I remember watching a state under 16 hockey finals a few years ago and it was almost hailing :eek:before the refs suspended the game and as soon as the rain eased up (but not stopped) the players were back on the field!

Another ten mintues and the game would've been over anyway.
Have a nice day - Cheers

Yes I agree with you. The umpires need to understand that they are involved in showbiz and the show must go on.

It pisses me off how cavalierly the PAYING public are treated.

How much did the punters pay for their seats tonight at the 'Gabba?

$60 on average probably and they were cheated for a result because the bloody umps wouldn't stand in a bit of wet for another 10 minutes!

For fecks sake, it's a bit of bloody theatre and we want to see a result decided on the field not by the bloody Duckworth-Lewis system where you need a PHD and a freaking laptop to work out who won.

Not one person in that crowd would have given a rats rectum about the pampered players' one day stats either. The only person who cares about that stuff is the cricketer.

Oh well, time for my medication.

CraigB, I think that you turned your tv off to early. They did resume play after about 10 - 15 minutes and we lost. (Bloody good four for the win too!)

Yes it was a lovely four runs for the winning two!
Great recovery, I thought they were stuffed when they needed fifty something with thirty something balls left.

I see the boys are working on getting some good odds from the bookies again?

South Africa will never have to chase such a small total against us again and struggle like they did to get it anyway.

Was listening to the radio today and apparently they had no idea that it was going to rain. There was no warning on the weather radar and 15 minutes later the rain disappeared totally.

And of course the Gabba can't afford a roof. Haven't you heard, the government up here is having enough problems as it is.
