20/20 cricket better than 50/50
This is a silly game but so much better than boring 50/50, How good is Ponting at the moment and Marto should be back in the test team ...... cant wait till Crusty strides out to the crease:eek: and how come south africans get to wear the green and gold? and we get gastly colors

Kind of fun but hardly cricket.
I tend to agree that most 1 day are boring with the occasional pearler. They should just play more test cricket.Photo Gallery

38,89t something spectators in the crowd, a record for that ground, and on a Monday night......
Some body picked a winner.
It is not bad for a quick fix of cricket & that was the 'B' team.Cliff.

40,000 bums on seats. $25? a seat makes a cool mil. Guess who really won.
Now watch them kill the golden goose. It was OK for a distraction, but as redwood said... "Roll on the Ashes".

I think it's just typical of modern society and it's short attention span. What's next? 30 minute halves? Sorry, but it just isn't cricket.

I dont think it will last. Sure they can support big crowds, but the big crowds won't keep coming if the games aren't competitive. Like the one against the Poms this one was over at half time
Maybe they could reduce it from 20/20 to 1/1 and play 20 games in one night. We could have a whole season in a weekend. Just think some players could play out their whole careers in one season of weekends!!There was a young boy called Wyatt
Who was awfully quiet
And then one day
He faded away
Because he overused White
Floorsanding in Canberra and Albury.....

Like 50 overs, it's a fun GAME, and really entertaining. Better still was the ABC commentary with Kezza and Jimmy Maher going at it head to head.
At one point Skull asked if it was really a JJJ broadcast they were doing, because he reckoned it may be the last one they did on grown-up radio!
cheers,

Why bother playing the game at all? They could just decide it on the toss."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."
