Default Floorboard Sand & Polish Question

We are due to have our Sydney Bluegum sanded & polished next Monday. I have just a couple of questions.

The company that us doing the sand & polish have said they generally only do a one pack finish with the polyurethane. They have said the two pack finish can lead to cracking in the timber after a while as there is no room for any movement. Is this true? What are the relative merits between one pack and two pack finish given we have a young family that may wear the floors quite hard>

Also, next week is scheduled to be pretty hot and our house does tend to heat up after a couple of days of hot weather. Are there any major cons when it comes to polishing in the heat or doesn't it really matter.

    Thanks in advance.

v, I think forum member Gaza does this for a living, try doing a search on floor sanding to confirm and PMing or emailing him.
