Advice on choice of Wood
Hi All,
We are putting in a jarrah kitchen and have dark teak furniture in a kitchen/living room area. Instead of over doing the darkness it was suggested to us by a supplier that we do a tassie oak floor with a jarrah border. This will cover an area of 50 sqm. Just wanting to see what all you knowledgeable people think? Any other suggestions greatly appreciated (re other timbers). Thanks to those who replied to my last post. Stayed away from the auctions!
Thanks again

Hi Lachie,
Yes most definitely think the lighter coloured timber with a dark edge is needed to brighten up the rooms. Other timbers - beech, silver ash, pine, cypress - all have their own pluses/minuses, including cost. Good luck - be very interested to see the finished rooms.
cheers

Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Hubbie has left it up to me and I was a little concerned with the contrast.
Thanks again!
