Inspirational Web Sites
Just run this idea up the flag pole see if gets saluted or torn down and burnt.
In the Best of the Best could we have a section that is dedicated to inspirational web sites.
I know that in this thread "American Bashing" - Lignim referred to a couple of sites that have some fantastic items in gallery pics. Also foraging through the scrollers forum a very old thread refers to a US site with a gallery of exceptional works on it.
The site could be catagorised for different things perhaps scrollers - furniture etc.
What do you think??Cheers

If there are specified sections to start with then contirbutors add their own additions - the physical mechanics I am not sure of but it is something that would grow with time and be a useful resource for someone starting a project and in it's infancy after ideas. Contributors could just flag the sites for what they offer in the title of their post contribution eg
Furniture site - style - site address
Clocks - site address
Intarsia site - site address
Scrollers site - American works - site address
etc
This allows quick scanning if resources can't manage the site.
Just an idea - I have seen some wonderful sites and it seems a shame they are not made known to others here.
CheersCheers

Well Tikki has suggested I should offer to manage the thread on inspirational websites, Redwood likes the idea and has offered a site. Echnidna is in favour of the idea.
If managing the thread involves just visiting the associated sites and keeping up with the list and catagorising it all and I don't know if the moderators clean out all the superfluous information then I am prepared to give it a go - would need some guidance to get started but if it is allowed and acceptable why not??
Any more feedback for or against??
And of course any feedback from the moderators on the proposal??
CheersCheers

I couldn't see anything wrong with it.
Wicked Weasel Pty Ltd is an Australian company engaged in the manufacture and distribution of high quality risque swimwear and underwear for women.
Our bikinis, knickers and most other products are manufactured completely at our premises in the Byron Bay Arts & Industrial Estate, Australia.Cliff.

I have been given blessing by the site moderators to set up the "Inspirational Web Sites" in Best of Best and to, as Cliff showed by example, moderate it by checking each site before including it in the list.
As Echnidna said it will be in alphabetical topic order that is Clocks will be above Furniture and below these will be Scrolling etc.
The idea is fir cintributors to only give me sites that have pictures or galleries in them so we can see the works of others.
Thanks for any contributions - I will set up the thread shortly but any sites posted here will also be gathered in the short-term.
I propose we define the thread with
ITEM - DESCRIPTION - STYLE - SITE
So by example
Clocks - Mantle - ##@##.com
Clocks - Grandfather, Wall - #@##.com
Furniture - Chairs, Tables, Chests - Old/Classic - #####@##.com
Furniture - Chairs, Tables - Rustic - ###@##.com.au
Scrollsaw - Pictures, Slabs etc - American - ###@##.com
Scrollsaw - Pictures, Slabs etc - UK - ###@##.com.uk
Any other better ideas welcome ideas??
CheersCheers
