    Unhappy Goodbye for a while

In their ultimate wisdom work has decided that I need to get out of Melbourne for a while and have sent me over to Perth for about 3 months from the 8th of January next year.

So unfortunately Al I wont be able to come to the BBQ of the century next year.

Then in March or April I will be moving permanently upto Sydney, so I will try to get back onto the BB then.

To all those that have helped me out through these posts, enabled me to keep 10 digits intact and supplied whitty replies to my posts I thank you.

So to you and yours from me and mine have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.
If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people like me ask? Do I get smart just in time to ask questions?

    Blackers,
when you arrive in Perth, you will note that we do have internet connections here. We also have all the mod cons you will find anywhere else - except maybe the famous melbourne culture.

What he's not saying is that they don't have electricity yet ... so you'll have to use a pedal generator to drive your computer

    Merry Christmas all Sandgropers

    Blackers,
the getting out of Victoria sounds the go, heaps of you guys do it, if you lose a neighbour, just try QLD that's where they'll be. And while electrickery is difficult to locate in the poor western region, if you doorknock all your neighbours(probably 2 suburbs worth I'd reckon) eventually you'll find one of the 17 households in WA with both elec & internet connected, until then, keep well, have a safe trip, and be good, especially over christmas.

all of the above was an attempt at humour, a poor attempt i'll grant, but you guys in the west are such easy targets, cause you're so far away

    Blackers,

Sorry you can't make the BBQ.

Perth's OK, the Sandgropers are a sociable good bunch just like the Cockroach Sydney siders and of course us Mexicans.

Have a safe and interesting trip and a good Christmas.

At least you are heading in the right direction - don't stop at Sydney though if you want to make a real quality improvement in life.

    G'day Blackers,
Wishing you well with all your moving about in the next few months. Hope that you don't find it it too unsettling.
Won't buy into the who's up who & who's paying the rent bait on this
thread, But I will say that W.A has the one thing ( person ) that every other state would like to claim ownership to I reckon, - Mr Derek Cohen!! With a bit of luck you may even get to meet him.
Wishing you & yours all the best for Chrissy & the New Year from me & my shadow.
    Regards,
    Barry.
