Satin finish for jarrah flooring
Hi Peoples
I'm aware there is probably pages of info on my question but I can't seem to get the seach thing happening. I'm sanding the jarrah floor in an old rental house I have and am wondering on what finish to put on the floor that is easy to apply and gives a low sheen but quality finish as that is what I prefer. Also an application method would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks
Air

I like tung oil. Apply with a brush or mop. Cleans up with metho. Not as durable as the polys but can be repaired. It gives a lovely low sheen and deep colour. Doesn't look like a plastic coat. Others will disagree.

I very heartily recommend Bona Mega water-based polyurethane. Not expensive, no mixing, no smell, goes on easy as anything with a brush or roller, comes in satin (or gloss), dries in a couple of hours, clean up with water.
I'm very happy with the finish on my floor.
