Hobsons Bay
This is from a map I spotted for sale. There are some interesting names on that map of NSW. Names like Yarra, and Melbourne to say the least.
I obviously missed that bit of Australian history where Victoria must have been created by slicing off a bit of NSW.

The land mass was known as Colony of New South Wales prior to the formation of the states... One source:

"Australia, once known as New South Wales," is a relevant quotation and the reason for what seemed to be a strange title on the map.
