    Default Enttec cvc4

I just bought one of these. It was an accident. Now that I have it I'm wondering what I might do with it. (Paperweight comes to mind.) It's new, but the box has been opened. I gather they are about $100 to buy. Mine cost $1. So, no real loss there. Anyway, now that I have it is there anything I might possibly do with it, at home that is?

OK I'll bite. What the hell is it?

Nup, 'sallright... I looked it up online. Wow what a great thing. However I'm not sure if I'm a bit dim or if it's a dimmer version of me.

Just got one comment to make.
Thats one weird boat anchor but just the right price. Did you pay cash or credit card?

    Cheers

It wouldn’t be a good anchor. It’s on the small side. Haven’t paid yet. It was an auction win.

I used to play around with electronics as a hobby and found you could increase or decrease the brightness of LEDs by varying the voltage. At least until it goes out or pop, kind of.

As you know, LEDs use very little power (ie. very little current), and yet this thing can handle 20 amps. So, my guess is that if you want to dim all the lights in a shopping mall you might have one of these things installed. Just guessing. Or maybe around your swimming pool, or the whole house.

I can’t see any kind of knob on it that actually does the dimming. I watched the video put out by the manufacturer which was so full of jargon that I got little from it. I can only surmise that it’s part of a set up where the lights can be controlled by a computer. Just guessing.

If anyone wants one or two and is prepared to pay postage, they’re theirs. (Yeah, inadvertently bought two, not one.) I’m out of pocket by $2. Bugger.
