recycled timber
I recently saved an old wardrobe from landfill during the annual cleanup
I've run some pieces thru the thicknesser'planer and it looks like nice timber for some projects I have in mind
Its quite heavy and the Dewalt 735 didn't like to take too big a bite although I ended up with a nice finish
I'm guessing the wardrobe was made in the 40's - 50's
anyone have an idea what breed of timber this could be ?
cheers
Hodgo

It looks to me like some kind of auracaria but that would be light rather than heavy. I'll put up a photo of a bit of Norfolk Island Pine I have just been sanding.

Na, this stuff is like light pine and sands beautifully. I just can't think of anything that looks like that but is heavy.
