Oh no. Why did you have to remind me.
Cue scene at Daddle's house, chrissy morn. The sun is peeping over the hills. A kookaburra is convulsing with hysterics in the gum behind the shed. Within that shed, a little girl and teenage boy are trying to stifle their sobs as Daddy proudly points and says - "well, that part of the boat is your Chrismas present, and that bit, and that nice pot of paint on the bench. And LOOK, Father Christmas did some sanding for me last night."

hoping the property settlement actually does happen because it's only way I'll be able to afford any presents

Merry Christmas to you too John.
Melbourne's Bessey clamp order arrives today so it will be like Christmas! The pain of payment has receded to a dull ache by now so it will be an early gift.
The hard part will be handing over the majority of the order to the real owners (I am secretly hoping they won't turn up )

Send details, I will look after them until the rightful owners turn up, trust me.

Merry Christmas to you too, John - many of them!
And many of you, too, apparently - at least, judging by the number of you who suddenly populated the forums recently. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the John Ashcrofts. I would add the old Bedouin blessing - May your tribe be as the sands of the desert - but it seems you're well on your way to achieving that without any further encouragement.Driver of the Forums

John the best wishes for the coming season to you too.
Might I suggest that if you happen to like a drop of wine then move to Mildura, not just visit.
