Default Corner front steps - progress build

    Hi everyone,

Started building some new front steps today which are a bit different to what you normally see, so I thought I'd share here.

First of the structure completed today. Apprentice was happy with what we achieved.

Finished up the framing and put it in place. Have also made a taper jig for the table saw for the next phase

Posting an update on these steps. They have been at this stage for a while, but yet to be finished
    The pictures tell the story.

Last pic is deciding how to clad the risers. The shingle-like pattern was the idea, however the treads are not well-enough aligned and the structure behind it not circular enough for this to look good. I ended up going for a solid piece which I steam bent to the structure.

For the other two risers, the lip on the treads is too small for a full thickness piece of decking, so I will have to rip one in half before steam bending each piece. Unfortunately, I don't have a bandsaw though, so this is where I'm at

    Cheers
