I own the bit, the "ribbing" is a feed rate issue.

What speed are you running the router at?

I run my Spindle moulder and MOF1 at the slowest speed when using this bit.

It is a beast, but leaves a great finish, especially in Redgum.Segmented Router Bit Redgum.jpg

It's 0.05mm at the base of the bit and 0.2mm at the top bearing.

I haven't checked, but I imagine so. I think the runout I have now will be present in any router bit I install. Plus any runout in the bit of course. The bearings should be OK. My TRA001 has had little use.

I was running it at nearly max RPM, as that's what the manual says to use for bits up to 25mm diameter. That's clearly too fast for this bit. Peter Millard runs his at half speed in this video review of the bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBJZlI9IVlI

    Good to know, thanks.
