She will, and probably pick up a couple more later.
The Graduate School of Education at Harvard University has just started a major research project based on a simple observation:
"Big kids and adults can do everything better than little kids, ... with one notable exception - learning languages. Why."
An early hypothesis is that little kids hear, then say, then read, then write, in that order. Language education tends to reverse that order. Perhaps sub-optimally?
