    Default Burnmaster pricing in Australia

Wondered if anyone could answer this - a couple of years ago I bought a Burnmaster Eagle (which I then only used once).

A friend asked me about getting one, so I had a look to see if he could get one for himself, and the only place I could find a listing was on "The Woodworks" in Sydney where it's listed new for $1300. That seems quite steep - so did the price of woodburning equipment suddenly rocket whilst I wasn't looking? What gear do woodburners use these days? What should I recommend to him?

    Cheers.

Do not know the product, but here is a New Zealand source at roughly half that price.

These have been sold for years by Carrolls and if they weren't any good I'm sure they would have been discontinued by now.
