Default OX TCT Ceramic Disc - Why Doesn't It Fit on My Grinder?

    Hi All,

I had a leak in a bathroom wall recently which has since been repaired. Of course, the wall required some patching and some tiles needed to be replaced. Some of the tiles required simple cuts which I've done using a hand tile cutter, however there's one last tile that needs a piece cut out for the toilet tap.

I was hoping that I could cut this last tile using my grinder and a disc that cuts ceramic. The grinder is a Makita GA5030. So I recently bought an OX TCT Ceramic disc which was recommended by my local hardware (I actually took one of the Makita discs with me to the hardware so I could be certain that the disc would be the right size).

I just tried fitting the OX disc to the grinder and the centre hole (bore) is too small! The bore of the Makita disc is listed as 22.2mm and the OX disc is 22.23mm but it's definitely smaller and won't fit - am I missing something obvious here?

    Cheers,

    Chris

Have you removed the 20mm adaptor that is supplied with the disc.

Is that the inner ring? I was looking at that but thought it was part of the disc.

Thanks, I didn't want to force it in case I damaged the disc.
