What's wrong with this picture?
Looks like it's a reasonably well made drill press stand, but if used as illustrated it offers more excitement on start up than inexperienced users seeking a cheap solution might expect.

That would be a very efficient cord winder!
That drill press is an absolute bargain at $8.31 but the freight! Wow!

Reminds me of something that I did on Ebay years ago. This was back in the days when you clicked to buy the item then had to put in your payment details. It didn't automatically populate from the system, so all ebay could do if you "bought" something and didn't pay was to ban your account.
Anyway, I saw a very ornate jewellery box for sale by a chinese ebay store. Looked like probably $100's value up for auction at $3.00 opening bid, free delivery to Australia. A couple of minutes until closing. I thought "why not" and pushed the button. I won the auction for $3.00 but delivery suddenly became $550.00.
A couple of quick messages between me and the seller, she was insisting on forcing me to go ahead with the sale. I told them to give me their address and then I would pay them the $3 and they could put it on the front desk and I would send someone in to get it.
Before long Ebay actually stepped in and cancelled the sale as I was not the only person they tried this on with.
I had screen shotsd and stuff prepared in case I needed to prove my case but never needed them. Coincidentally, my brother was working in China in that same city at the time, so my offer to send someone in was a real possibility.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

If you hang onto the thoughtfully provided and suitably tightened handle on the drill collar while holding the pistol grip on the drill, this should equalise the forces on both wrists and ensure roughly equal disability in both wrists.
Meanwhile the unsecured drill stand base, which typically will be around groin height on a low bench, will perform a full rotation and shove itself forcefully into the groin area and ideally prevent breeding another generation of people who shouldn't be allowed near even simple power tools.
Is this really a poor result?

Sadly there are so many "marketing guru's" out there promoting products that they have absolutely no clue about!
Miracle tools that solve the problem that they just told you about, but they don't give a rat's about the customers safety only making sales.Mobyturns

I think the problem with the drill stand is a photographer, which in this case is a sub-species of marketing, who made a common sense assembly ("if it fits there, that must be where it goes") but with no idea of how the tool works.
Similar to this supposed carpenter's tool belt, which doesn't have one standard carpenter's tool on it, but does have the upright razor knife blade just waiting to cut an idiot who stocks their tool belt like this.
One problem with these sorts of erroneous images is that they could lead a novice into easily avoidable injury.
