Surfacing a bowl ring with a palm router
Simple piece of 1/4 in plexiglass with mounted palm router .
The work is a segmented ring for a large bowl . Just a little too big for the cole jaws on my lathe.
The blocks are double sided tape attached to the plexi and can be changed for different work pieces.
First side is flattened by simply sledding the router around the piece then the ring is flipped and second side finished parallel to the first.
Both sides flat and parallel. The clamped assembly is the ring glue-up to the balance of the bowl.
