    Default Windows arrived.

Windows arrived yesterday after ordering early last month. They look great. But....after measuring six times, then fixing the vertical studs at 1546 (1510 window, 2 x 18 mm reveals), got the receipt the other week which stated stud width 1570. I rang them up to confirm. She even checked with the guys out back. So moved studs out to 1570. Windows arrive. 1546.

So, spent the morning redoing the studs and hey presto, uts a great fit.

I have one issue though. Reveals are 138mm deep which is 20 mm deeper than I need. Would you get out the Jigsaw and rip the excess off or replace the reveals with 110mm x 18mm? Do they even do that size?

Easier to rip them down with a circular saw and a fence before fitting the window into the opening but you can do it insitu if you prefer

I assume you are cladding external or is it brick veneer?
If brick veneer move window out 20mm, if clad, remove window and rip with a circular saw. A jigsaw will will not leave a decent edge, it will be rough and not straight, set the blade of the circ saw 3mm more than thickness of reveal, just make sure you remove any screw/staple/nail that co-insides with the line of cut.
