Default Hello from the other Exmouth!

Hi All, I am a hobby woodturner living in Exmouth, Devon UK.

I was really fortunate to discover a local 'Men's Shed' about a week after I took early retirement. They had a bunch of lathes and tools I could learn on and, more importantly, several expert turners who were willing to show me the ropes. I have been turning for nearly 6 years now and still learn something new with every chunk of wood I turn. I particularly enjoy having the luxury of time to go where the wood takes me, rather than having to turn out pieces to predetermined dimensions.

There still seem to be a lot of pages I am not able to access but I look forward to finding out what its like to turn upside down!

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum "Rod".....
There are quite a few members from UK and many from the Europe plus of course the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork and turning...
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie

Oh, it's so difficult you wouldn't believe it plays merry hell with balancing on my head.
