Gordon.
Thanks for the info..very much appreciated.
Would be interesting to hear from any one who uses an Xacta Lift add on with their jet table saw.
direct link to a PDF file for the manual for the "Xacta Lift"

Zymurgy,
Now you have had your Supersaw for a few months is it still as good or have you found any other nigglies????
The reason I ask is I am about to upgrade and my brother in law is also looking at a new saw and although we like the cabinet type JET saws all the dealers so far are pushing the Supersaw.
We don't want to part with the hard earned$$$ if it doesn't come up to scratch.
Have been looking at the new Hafco ST-12D which seems pretty good value for the $$$ too. Does anyone have any feed back on these????Regards,

BigPete,
Found no more hassles. It's a good solid saw.

Gordon,
Thanks for the reply.
Am still opting for the JTAS-10XL and although there are none in the country at the moment am waiting to hear whether I can get it in Oz early enough or not. Dealer can get one shipped over but looks like have to wait till at least Feb for delivery.
Virtually the same with all Jet saws excepting the Supersaw and I think I have read enough about them at this stage to say no to the SS (even though you ar ehappy with yours).
Will wait and see what the dealer comes up with other than that will be looking closely at some of the other brands.Regards,

I have exact same JET saw. Works well, good fence, but just be aware that the dust collection is dismal. Even with several mods to block off holes in the cabinet, most sawdust just builds up inside the cabinet rather then going into the dusty.
If these are worth $1000 I'll have to look into selling mine before we relocate/downsize !

Here's another more commercial type machine, which you could run with a VFD and it's closer to you.

That's an MBS 300, as sold by Gregory Machinery and Timbecon at the moment. They're a very good machine, and have stood the test of time having been available in the same basic form for over 20 years. I have no idea if the motor is suitable to run on single phase with a vfd though.
