Default Sherwood jigs on Tormek Bench Grinder Mount

I use a bench grinder with the Tormek BGM-100. The only jig I have is the chisel/plane blade jig and its set up with the grinding wheel spinning towards the bevel ie in front of the of grinder not up top + behind

I would like to use the grinder on some kitchen knives are these jigs suitable for the tormek jig and also to use in front of the wheel where its spinning towards the bevel?

Its just a bit cheaper than the tormek and saving some $ for something that I would very rarely use would be nice

I have a Tormek and also have both short and long knife sharpening jigs, plus I also have the Tormek BGM-100 fitted to my 200mm bench grinder kitted with a white wheel mainly used for shaping.

Those look like they are a copy, with just enough changes to avoid being an exact copy. That said, I am of the understanding that copyright of many of the Tormek jigs has run out; hence many companies are now putting out their own versions of the Tormek jigs.

    I just checked with my
Tormek BGM-100 and the knife jigs, should work. On the Tormek wet wheel, which is wider and running a lot slower, plus it has a wall of water welling right in front of the knife edge, sharpening knife edges is really quick. using a bench grinder with a white wheel could be impressive sharpening; speed wise that is.
