Stripping 2 pack doors
Hi all. Very new to the forum, so please forgive me if I get anything wrong.
We’ve just acquired our first house (Tassie 1905 Federation), and I’d like to strip the 2 pack paint someone’s put on all the doors. The timber in each door appears to vary and any of the panels could be Huon, Baltic, Redwood, etc.
In the first instance, before I do the hard yards sanding, I would prefer to use some kind of stripping agent, but I’m wary of the effects that this will have on grain, colour etc. What does everyone recommend?
All of the dip and strip type businesses in Melbourne and Tassie appear to have closed (temporarily or permanently) so whatever is recommended I’ll be doing myself!
Cheers, Paul
