Hi, others may be of more help, but heres my guess anyhoo. Is it possible you are flooding the veneer too much at once on the first coat, and any air in the pores become trapped, resulting in the bubbles?......shane?..

If you are using sanding sealer let it dry overnight before you topcoat or you can get tiny bubbles.

If you'r not using sealer, dunno.

fairly common nowadays when finishing veneer. Air trapped in the pores of the veneer and also gas escaping from adhesive etc. Just use a light coat for the initial application and let it dry. Sand well, without sanding through the veneer! and coat as normal. Its not a 'mirotone' problem i've used it when spraying seal coats of shellac.

    Cheers
