Last Sunday night I "won" the lucky draw so I have the honor of picking the topic for this Sunday's Round Table Jabber.
If someone asked my what my hobby was I would tell them I am a woodworker. In reality, my "woodwork" has some rather fuzzy boundaries with other crafts that I have branched out into in support of my woodworking hobby. I think most of us are the same to a lesser or greater degree.
So, this week's topic is:
"What other crafts do you dabble in, in support of your woodworking hobby?"
Let's talk about the other crafts, how they fit into your projects, what woodworking equipment works for the other crafts and what extra gear did you have to buy or make?
How does it affect your workflow, shed layout, shed cleaning,or other ways it affects your creative space?
Many woodworkers I know have spouses who are also craftspersons. Do your crafts complement each other or do you help each other in your creative pursuits?
Looking forward to hearing all the dark secrets...
I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

I know this is not another Obsession...ummm I mean hobby, but I thought it might be of interest, although I concede this will be much too pretty for at least one of our group:
BJS Planes and Woodworking: Gallery Some samples.

Home grown yes, pricey yes, high end of course, but quite nice (if you do pretty ).

Paul, I'm pretty sure I have seen him and his work at one of the Lost Trades Fairs a few years back at Kyneton. They look great in person as well as in the photos.
I notice his website/blog haven't been updated in a few years.
I'm sure that the metalwork aspect of infill plane making will somehow come up in our topic of other crafts and hobbies on the chat this evening.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Doug
I actually picked up on the link from him exhibiting at a LTF. I don't now know whether it was an out of date notification. The blog in particular doesn't seem to have progressed past 2018 so that may not be a good sign. There are some videos on his website too.
