Much to learn - carving
Hi all, I joined a long time again whilst in the US, now back in Oz and keen to learn from others. I was fortunate to learn basic decoy duck carving from one of the masters in the US, William Veasey. Spent the first 10 hrs of instruction learning to use a pencil, but that's another story.
I have some US bought tools, including a two drum pneumatic sander for which I can't find replacement sanding sleeves...I'll post this question in the right forum now to see if I can get a steer toward a supplier.

16th June 2022, 06:19 PM #5G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Matt".....
There are quite a few members in Canberra and around the Southern Highlands with a stack of members in Sydney area plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie
