Mobile machinery repairs
The rear belt has gone on the belt and disk sander here. the disk runs but not the belt.
I cant get the thing around to open the belt housing on it - just a bit too heavy these days for me.
Wondering if any one knows of a mobile fixit man who could call in and do the belt change for me.
It's an old TTI looking a bit like the below
ray c
dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

Any chance that you can identify the belt prior to someone coming to help? I'm guessing not from the initial message, but if TTI could supply the information or belt, I would be happy to visit and help out. My only issue is that I'm an hour and a half away and would prefer to do the job in a single trip, rather than making one to get to the belt and another to replace it when a replacement has been sourced.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Sounds great but a long trip. Thanks for the kind offer. If I can id the belt I'll get one cut. Really its just a couple of heavy lifts I guess and once the machine is accessible I can fix it myself.
I'll apply some brain energy to this before getting some one in to brute force it.

Which Belt.
I've just been out to the shed to look at my daughter's sander (it's badged "Toolshed" but I'm sure it came out of the same factory). I came back with 100mm x 914mm (4" x 3' in old money).
However, now I've re-read your post I think you mean the drive belt, not the sanding belt. It too late here to go out again, but I can have another look tomorrow.
