Default Back after 10 year hiatus

    Hi All,

I am a keen woodwork weekend warrior. Was an active forum browser about 10 years ago, but i forgot my tag and login, so i just started a new one. Back in the mid 2000's I built myself a lovely shed, and spent some quality time setting it up just right. Meanwhile, we had three children, so time in the shed became less and less frequent. Then we moved house, no shed. Here I am 11 years since the move, and am re building my tool collection, while we have plans afoot to build a somewhat smaller, less luxurious space for me to work with wood.

Bought a Sawstop, since there is a fair chance at least one of my kids will want to use the table saw. Collected my old thicknesser/planer from a mate who looked after it for 10 years in his shed, bought a couple of things from another member (thanks Wands) and am very excited to be back in the whole environment. Its good for the head! Will be keeping an eye on the market place for the next few months for the must-have tools to come (love a good reduce-reuse-recycle).

Currently i have some gear in a lock up store, and the bare basics are set up on the verandah! Limits my working time somewhat....

First project to tackle while we sort out the "shed" will be some Adirondack chairs. (I do like the classic American furniture)
