Married 50 years - Priceless!
After being married for 50 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said to her,
"Fifty years ago we had a cheap house, a junk car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 23-year-old girl."
"Now... We have an $800,000 home, a $65,000 car, a nice big bed and a large-screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 73-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of the bargain."
My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 23-year-old girl and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap house, driving a junk car, sleeping on a sofa bed, and watching a 10-inch black and white TV.
Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve an old guy's problems! To grow old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

My wife is 63 and falling to bits. I've threatened to trade her in on three 21 year olds.
Trouble is, at my age I wouldn't know what to do with one 21 year old, let alone three of them .

We have been married for 56 years. When we were first married, we lived in Phoenix. We had rented a house from a retired couple. He was a retired Iowa electric lineman. One day they were bickering, good naturedly, when he said that he was going to trade her in for two 20-year-old girls. She came back immediately with, "What makes you think that you are wired for 220.
As an understanding of electricity here in North America. Electricity is delivered to residences as single phase 220-volts. The nature of the way that it is used is two 110-volt sources as most appliances are designed to operate on 110. For appliances that require more than 20 Amperes, they are designed to work with the full 220 volts.
I understand why our electricity is the way that it is but I'm not sure if your way or ours is better.

The pics might be attractive, but are they WHO the say they are!!!!!
The lad next door has been taken in a few times by the SAME one, keeps saying she's coming over here, but ended up in hospital, been robbed, yadda yadda yadda. I think he's been diddled for something like $1,200 all up.
When I was 40, I had an 18 YO lass for a GOOD friend, I wish I could remember back that far, what I did to attract her!!!!To grow old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

And they say it's the lonely old buggers that get diddeled? I now waste so much of my day avoiding these scammers on FB, phone, text and emails. I think Aus Post must have the lowest form of security as whenever I buy anything online, I get bombarded with email and text scams about delivery.

My beloved and I recently discussed having affairs with people half our age but I didn't like the way she would have got the better deal. Mathematically speaking 26 can go into 52 a lot more than 52 can go into 26

It's not aus post. They send those scan sms's to everyone in the hope someone falls for it. Shotgun approach. They started with claims they had compromising pictures/video, now they have moved on to the parcel scam. Each one uses a different phone number to avoid blocking. I don't know how they do that but it's probably spoofing the numbers somehow.

Back in the late 1950s there was a very nasty dog on the street that liked to chase cars. A crusty old gentleman put a burlap bag on the rear wheel using rope and the hubcap to hold it in place. He drove up the street and the nasty dog chased and snapped at the rear wheel. Needless to say, the dog only did that once as its neck was snapped.

I have a work mobile phone. It is only used for work purposes and the number is only given to those who need it.
This year I have had multiple messages about deliveries and parcels. I have also had a couple of messages about videos. The phone is not smart enough to follow any links. (My boss sent me an image and I was not even able to view that!)

For text messages etc, they normally don't rely on knowing that you will be on the receiving end, they simply program in a range of numbers to receive the spam and have a computer send the message to each phone number in the range. Doesn't matter if a number has not been issued etc, as it's all basically free of charge or very cheap compared to what you would pay to send a text message.
Similarly with voice scam calls, a call centre computer works through a range of numbers dialling each, if the call gets answered, it is put on hold for a couple of seconds then passed to a staffer who attempts to work the particular scam they have been assigned for the shift. The scam call centre keeps detailed records of calls made, recipient responses, methods of payment (if successful) for subsequent targetted scam calls. Once again calls are basically free, they are made via intermediaries who provide a service of aggregating voice calls, converting them to VOIP calls, directing them to the target country via the internet, and injecting them into that countries telecommunication networks, generally with a spoofed caller ID to make them appear to be originated from somewhere close to the recipient.I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.
