Milestone.
There are certain highlights in ones life that are properly regarded as milestones.
Some are your first day at school, your first day at work, your first girlfriend, your first marriage, your first child or like I got the other day my first zero tax payable income tax assessment for last year. Finally, after many years, my tax planning produced the result aimed for.
Those milestones are very important, but tonight I am pleased to celebrate another milestone, namely that this post is my 3000th post since becoming a member of these forums.
Hopefully in these posts I did not upset too many people, like Monoman today. I have greatly enjoyed the ride, made many friends, learned a lot, and hopefully helped a few along the way with the jigs that I've posted and inspired a few to improve their workshops.
Now I’m on the road to the next thousand.
Peter.

Well done Peter, and very valuable posts too. Even the ones that upset some people usually have a valid base.

Thanks guys, your kind words are greatly appreciated.
Gumby, our joint madness came from having owned a Triton WC, except that mine was better than yours.
Groggy, if Rbbo increased the character limit on posts from ten thousand to say ten million I could try writing a longer post as long as you promise to read it.
Al, I get all my cheap white paint from Bunnings so Bodgy won't have to save too long.

Goodonya Peter!
Have a greenie.
I always read your posts. They are always well written, thoughtful and frequently thought-provoking. Your jigs are ingenious, well-made and useful. Your opinons are worth reading because they come from experience and intelligence. I may not always agree with you but your contributions to the general debate are an important part of my enjoyment of these forums.
Keep 'em coming, mate! Here's to another 3,000-plus.
