    Default Vax Power Carpet Cleaner

My agent and I are starting to disagree about the standard of cleaning required for a routine inspection.
I want clean & tidy but with the mess and dirt associated with living life - she wants a display home cleaned to surgical standard.

I have a heart condition and two kinds of back disease so floor cleaning will never be my strong point - my biggest problem is that with my back I can't lean in to a mop.

I only have carpet in two bedrooms, to hire a machine I'm looking at $47 plus chem so about $70 a time, or for $186 I can get this Vax cleaner which is paid for after two and a bit uses.
Has anyone got one or used one, I know Vax used to be a good name - and would this be any good for tiles?

    Cheers

Absolute complete waste of money unless it is just a spill that you get to immediately no good for anything other than lite surface cleaning, I had the Wertheim version same unit different brand on it
Call in a end of lease cleaning service you then have a receipt to prove t he place has been cleaned they are not too expensive ( well in Adelaide ) mate just had his place done around $250.00

Routine inspection? They are there to check you haven't put holes in the walls or sold the oven, not whether you vacuum twice a day or not.

Most agents make a very cursory effort at inspections at all.

We've an old wet Vax "Darlek".

It's great, but a PITA for small jobs. If the cat has a spew or i drop a coffee.... Is a major drama to pull out, set up and then clean it to put away.

    For a 6 month wash/vac though, it's absolutely perfect.

Ours is ancient, but it's much like this for $289... Vax Wash and vac...VAX VX5 Spin Scrub Pet 1500W Multifunction Vacuum Carpet Cleaner Washer Wet Dry

My looking around now sees them on gumtree second hand for ~$100. A bargain.

Today at supercheapauto they have the mini portable for sale ($203). I just bought one. Perfect for the car and small jobs (cat spew!)
