COVID resignations
curious.. for their own priviledge many people are leaving their places of employment, (I think trying to force gov hands)
How are these people going to live, if living on a teachers, public servant hospitality trade or whatever wage, they wont get it fruit picking or doing manual labour.
Going to be an interesting time for many, maybe this will force the price of housing down as no longer will families be able to have 2 jobs/careers, 2 cars fancy house etc etcI would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Of course they won't come out and say that but I suspect some employers they might be very happy for them to go and govts are always looking for ways to cut down on public service numbers.
I think you'll find quite a few who've decided to leave because of their anti-vax stance
- already have had a gut full and may have been going to leave anyway - they probably wanted a push and some might want to make a dramatic exit.
- have something else lined up to go to.
- will eventually get jabbed and go back and work somewhere else in the same industry.
Like some members of this forum (not excluding myself here) some of these people are good at telling others what to do but might actually do something different themselves.
Unfortunately it's going to take a bit more than this to force the price of housing.
Some people are leaving work despite being doubled jabbed. Even my teacher sister's triple vaxed, her haematologist has strongly recommend she leave work because she has a compromised immune system and the kids will bring Covid to her once it enters WA.

I think alot of them are a younger generation, and are slowly realising being happy is more of a requirement then having a $80,000 SUV, so life is too short being stuck in an average job you don't like.
plus you can just become an online influencer.
COVID has also opened the countries eye to just how reliant we are on migrant and oversea's workers willing to sacrifice employment conditions for pay. business's are realising they need to up the ante just to get people to work as people are sick of the casualisation of the work force, average pays, doing extra hours work for no money, and i think the current generation have wizened onto this and will just hold out until they can find a job that gives them the conditions they want
