Apologies, I'm interested in the topic, but unable to join you tonight.
But here is a contribution, in absentia.
This is the tooth pattern on my 1 or 2 man crosscut saw...
At glance it looks like a standard 'Great American' tooth pattern, but looking up closer at one of the triplets with the perforated hole, it is quite different...
That triplet has a forward and back raker, like on the 'Champion' tooth pattern (see image below). It's a hybrid of the 'Great American' tooth pattern on a pair of triplets set between the raker triplets. Some Nth American college saw racing teams use a similar tooth pattern to this.
It's a very effective saw tooth pattern for bucking hardwood firewood.
The rakers have no sideways set and are hammer 'set' forward and back. The alternating sideways set on the other teeth is also done with a hammer before sharpening.Stay sharp and stay safe!

Well last night's session proved why the above quote (6th October 2021) is correct - to say the I had the theory all "ballsed-up", was well and truly proven.
But some good came from it - Matt sent me a link to BlackburnTools web site which included a link to an excellent blog post - Concerning saw files (which I am now selling) | Blackburn Tools. If you need assistance in understanding file geometry and how it relates to sharpening your hand saws, this is an excellent post - thanks Matt.
