Hello from Woolgoolga NSW
Hi everyone thanks for allowing me to join your group. I'm from WooIgoolga near Coffs Harbour Northern NSW Australia. I stumbled on this forum trying to get some information about an old planer but will get back to that. Im retired 68 yr old and love timber. Never a carpenter but have made small things like cupboards, coffee tables now building my first deck. Night seek some advice as I go along but have a mate who is a retired builder/carpenter who is supervising me. Back to the planer/saw it is a PaulCall vintage I wanted to use but it is 3 phase which I don't have at home. Anyway I want to get rid of it I will make another thread or look through existing to where I seen a member was after one for parts.
Thanks all

Hi there Eddie
I had 3phase in my previous workshop and hence had a lot of 3ph machinery. So when I moved and no longer had 3ph, I just found some single phase motors of same output, rpm, shaft diameter etc.
The cost of the new or used motors was offset a little by the scrap metal value of the original motors.
Just wanted to suggest an alternative to getting rid of your planer/saw. It could be worthwhile looking at the motor swap compared with having to purchase another machine.
Anyway, all the best with your new adventures
Graeme
