dream time ideas

dream time.
if you wanted to build an outdoor chess set that was sturdy what would you use.

base for each would be 100 or 150mm DWV pipe around metre high end caps for pawns but what about the other pieces?

any ideas or what else to make from

now make those from 150mm storm water and 700 -1m high...

I would use threaded couplers and screw caps for bases. They’re more expensive but heavier and so will be more stable. They can be castellated to make rooks. The couplers can also be used as “heads”. Knights could used a “Y” junction. You can buy sheet PVC to make flat things like the kings crosses, knights ears Etc
