Sanding pine floor
I'm just about to embark on ripping up the old carpet in a bedroom and sanding the pine floor boards.
A few questions:
1. How easy are the floor staining products to apply? I was looking at some samples of the Wattyl floor stain at Bunnings, in particular the dark cherry stain on pine, and it looks pretty nice.
2. When I hire a floor sander from Bunnings, do I need to hire the edge sander as well, or can I save myself $30 a day and use my Makita random orbital sander for the edges?

As to the makita for the edges try along one wall coming out about 6", see how much time it takes and paper you use , I think you will hire the edge sander. It can be done but
