G'day from Busselton
Hi Im Jon.
Born in Bassendean and have lived in Busselton almost 10 years now. Ive been making things with wood since i was a kid. Being a natural unique product its always drawn favour over other materials, metal, plastic etc. My partner is an artist she makes resin wall art and homewares.
Iv been making her frames and block mounts, and some art boards. We have 2 daughters, aged 3 yo and 4 months.
Recently I picked up a Robland NLX 310 (not pro, made in 2004) combi with a 2.4m slide and outrigger table. I quit my job (Pharmacist) and Im hoping to make enough between us to not have to find another one 😅
I'm not sure exactly what service/ products I'll offer yet, but I'm excited none the less.
Side note i keep bees and love to grow veges.
Cheers. Nice to be here.

One of my favourite parts of Aus! Welcome.
I did that bloody Ironman a couple of times, so it's mixed pain & pleasure memories.
Had a couple of fantastic holidays around the area.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Jon".....
There are quite a few members in Perth and across West.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork..
Cheers crowie
PS Don't forget the hand made wooden toys for those two little one, offcuts work well...

Welcome! Sounds a bit like me - my wife is artist/creator, and I hope to do woody-related things with here (no concrete plans yet). I'm hoping to quit my tech job one day, and we also are into gardening & veges.

Thanks every one.
Bernmc yeah i can imagine 🤣 sure is nice around here though.
Crowie cheers for the welcome and suggestion. I don't even need to make "toys" per sei, they play happily enough with just offcuts haha.
Lyricnz nice to meet you, all the best with your future ventures. It was a daunting step to quit a stable job but I'm feeling better already.
