Any truckies going past Winston Hill NSW going to Caboolture/Brisbane for a pickup?
Hi guys, this is going to be a long shot but thought I would ask anyway, are there any truckies on this forum going past Gibbon Road, Winston Hills NSW 2153 and heading towards Caboolture preferably, or else Brisbane that can pick up a large laser printer for me, it weighs approx 80Kg and will be boxed (not sure if it will be on a pallet). I have got a quote from the company which is almost the same price as what the the printer costs so makes it too expensive, but I don't want to miss out on it if it is doable. Thanks.
Ed.

Hi Doug3030, don't have a pic of the boxed up printer but the actual printer dimensions are:
Weight:80.0 KG
56.6 (cm) 64.8 (cm)
Depth:51.3 (cm)
plus what ever thickness packing they use, but I would imagine that it will be inside a strong original cardboard carton protected by styrofoam panels.

Don't know if you've thought of this/tried it - but at Cheap Couriers Freight Service & Parcel Delivery Australia I put in those dimensions and weight, and came up with a quote for $116.19 - assuming each end is residential (which is more restrictive on who will do the job, I believe).

Thanks for that link, I do have an account with that company but unfortunately the couriers need a tailgate lift at my end and also you have to factor in the pallet size and weight combined, which brings it back to my original quote and makes it too expensive.

Get onto a site called: truckit.com. I’ve had good success with it.

Isn't truckit.com a company in America?

Think it should be TruckIt.net - Australia's Freight Auction Marketplace which is Australian

I tried that Truckit site but the first quote was 2.5 times what my quote was from the printer company. Will wait to see if more reasonable offers come in but I think that I might be fighting a loosing battle and will just have to miss out on the printer.
