Sorry Lance, not this week for me.
Another day of trying to get the Old Fruit-bat (AKA Mother-in-law) settled into an aged care facility in Benalla.
That's a five-hour round trip from home plus time on the ground there which includes a meeting with Administration at 11am.
I doubt I will get anything else done that day.
Maybe next week.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Thanks Matt
The miniature carving starts at the 5min 42sec mark if anybody wishes to go straight there. I don't wish to go into hyperbole so I will restrict my comment to wonderous: However, if I was a carver, and confronted with such a work I would throw all my tools into the fire and restrict my efforts to stone masonry and replicas of Stonehenge.

Tomorrow's catch-up.
As always, anyone and everyone is welcome.

Lance
I won't be able to make tomorrow's "Prattle." Pity, because the topic is a good one. I will be able to make Friday week, the 10th (I think I've got the date right too!).
All the best to those attending.

I'd be interested to hear if there was a verdict on which timber to use as the one and only.

thanks Lance for hosting todays Zoom meeting. I got in there about 10 minutes late but still well worth the effort to join in. I will try to get there next week too.
That discussion was not resolved to its conclusion. Too many sidetracks were taken but as a topic to get us started it fulfilled its purpose.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Well I discovered a new species called Beefwood, which sounds pretty versatile. I think the only timber that was mentioned twice was Tasmanian Oak (Yvan and myself), so does that mean it wins?
