Are you a clean freak?

What's got me is that some of the clean freaks say "look at my mess" and their joint is immaculate.
They need to look at the pics at the start of this thread to see a real mess !!!

Mine is a mess whilst working on a project, but generally I have a clean up between jobs.

Mind you I have been working in my display unit for over 3 months now with the odd wood-turn in between. Couldn't even see the benches. I had to clean the workshop up yesterday for the BBQ/swap meet next weekend. Even so, there are panel glue-ups every where.

My Yellowtail is currently on her back, getting her bottom soundly sanded - for those with evil minds, the howl of the sander drowns the howls of pain from the boat As a result, my entire shed, all its contents, most of the backyard and half the neighbourhood are covered in a fine layer of dust. The really interesting part of this is that all the spider webs have picked up the dust and the shed now looks really cool (hey, I am a horror writer)

Hi there,
I couldn't work in a complete mess, just have to be organised so I can lay my hands on whatever I need at that moment, but generally my shed is messy during a project. Then I have a cleaning frenzy, before I start messing it up again! Dust, shavings and off-cuts are generally there for the longest, its the tools, supplies, and spare pieces that need get the most attention...the essential things to get on with next project.

I'm the same Nothing gets cleaned or organised during a project and then I get all enthused to do a complete reorganisation of the shed. I convince myself that reason I made all those mistakes was because I'm not organised and I dont have enough tools!

I'm with Bob and I'll post pics when I can take some. I don't get a lot of time in the shed and I spend ALL of it making things (or looking for things amongst the crap).

My shop is like my BBQ. At the end of a session I just leave it as is. Then when I start the next session, the first thing I do is completly clean up, including putting everything away, dust removal and lastly vacuum the floor.

It sound terribly anal when you put it on paper, but it makes for a much more enjoyable experience .

I had to answer yes. Generally have at least 1 fairly major cleanup each day. I despise clutter.

Another annoyance is not being able to make lots of sawdust while another project is being finished. I need a finishing shed (ain't gonna happen though).
